कपालभाति
A powerful pranayama technique involving short, forceful exhalations that energize the body and cleanse the respiratory system.
Kapal Bhati, often called "Skull-Shining Breath," is one of the most powerful pranayama techniques in yoga. The name comes from Sanskrit: "kapal" meaning skull or forehead, and "bhati" meaning shining or illuminating. This technique involves rapid, forceful exhalations followed by passive inhalations.
Bal Lahoti considers Kapal Bhati one of the most important breathing exercises for anti-aging. He teaches that the rhythmic pumping action of the abdomen during this practice massages and energizes vital organs including the liver, pancreas, kidneys, and reproductive system. The practice also increases oxygen supply to the brain, which Bal believes contributes to mental sharpness and clarity even in advanced age.
